Dry Season documents a methane hydrate field that stretches across the Northwest 90° line. With the shift of two major landmasses, this previously underwater area was surfaced and then dried. The once solid clathrates are now releasing trapped gasses. This state may last approximately 9.5 years before settling. At this point, it can be safely transformed into a materials-harvesting ground.
